Estimation of the quasi-steady state condition of the catalyst surface in a fluidized bed (English)
0 references
The author studies a mathematical model that takes account of catalytic effects in a fluidized bed. This model applies to catalyst theory and the original model is given by a system of integro-differential equations for the concentrations of substances in a gas phase, coupled with the elliptic-parabolic equation (the Kolmogorov equation) for the density of distribution of particles with respect to their catalytically active surface.NEWLINENEWLINE The main aim of the article is to obtain estimates which exhibit proximity of solutions for the degenerate and singularly perturbed problems depending on the parameters of the model. The estimates obtained make it possible to determine the so-called quasi-steady state condition of the catalyst in a fluidized bed that predict the usage of simpler mathematical models with the steady state condition of the catalyst.
