A general principle for purely model-theoretical proofs of Gödel's second incompleteness theorem (English)
0 references
The paper gives an almost self-contained and highly readable presentation of a (slightly more general) version of Kreisel's model-theoretic proof of Gödel's second incompleteness theorem. A general ``Model Chain Lemma'' is extracted from Kreisel's proof. The lemma can be used for other proofs of Gödel's theorem, however, no examples are given.
