Sequentially \(m\)-barrelled algebras are introduced in the same fashion as \(s-\)barrelled spaces were introduced by \textit{R. F. Snipes} [Canad. Math. Bull. 21, No.~2, 221-227 (1978; Zbl 0398.46003)]. An analogue of the Banach-Steinhaus theorem is proved.
