The authors consider the descriptor linear system NEWLINE\[NEWLINE \begin{aligned} E\dot x&=Ax+B_1\omega+B_2u,\\ \quad z&=C_1x+D_{11}\omega+D_{12}u,\\ \quad y&=C_2x+D_{21}\omega, \end{aligned} NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \( x(t)\in \mathbb{R}^n\), \( u(t)\in \mathbb{R}^m\), \( \omega(t)\in \mathbb{R}^q\), \( y(t)\in \mathbb{R}^r \) and \( z(t)\in \mathbb{R}^p \) are state, control input, exogenous input, measured output and controlled output vectors, respectively. \( E\in \mathbb{R}^{n\times n} \) and \( \det E=0\). \(A\), \(B_1\), \(B_2\), \(C_1\), \(C_2\), \(D_{11}\), \(D_{12}\) and \(D_{21}\) are constant matrices with compatible dimensions.\flushpar Necessary and sufficient conditions for the existence of a static output feedback \(H_\infty\) controller in terms of LMIs are obtained.
