A refinement of K. F. Chernykh's nonlinear quasi-Kirchhoffian theory of shells (English)

The paper is devoted to the refining of Chernykh's quasi-Kirchhoffian shell theory [see e.g. \textit{K. F. Chernykh}, Some aspects of the linear theory of shells. in Theory of shells, Proc. 3rd IUTAM Symp., Dedic. Mem. I. N. Vekua, Tbilisi/USSR 1978, 225-239 (1980; Zbl 0495.73079)]. As a result, some equations for the shell statics are derived taking into account the variation of parameters characterizing the transverse squeezing. The boundary values are reduced to the original shell configuration. In the general case it is shown that there are six independent geometric boundary quantities that does not correspond to the order of the governing system of equations in displacements based on Kirchhoff hypothesis about the nonavailability of transverse displacements.
