The author studies behaviour of elasticoplastic endless plate containing finite length rectilinear split under uniaxial tension on the infinity with uniformly distributed stress. The material of plate is supposed to be incompressible, strengthen and satisfies the Mises plastic condition, and the considered deformation is plane. For the fields of stress and deformations we have the system of equations NEWLINE\[NEWLINE{\partial\sigma_{r}\over\partial r}+ {1\over r}{\partial\sigma_{r\phi}\over\partial \phi}+{1\over r} (\sigma_{r}-\sigma_{\phi})=0,\;{\partial\sigma_{r\phi}\over\partial r}+ {1\over r}{\partial\sigma_{\phi}\over\partial \phi}+{2\over r} \sigma_{r\phi}=0,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE NEWLINE\[NEWLINE-{\partial^2\epsilon_{\phi}\over\partial r^2}+ {2\over r^2}{\partial\epsilon_{r\phi}\over\partial \phi}+ {2\over r}{\partial^2\epsilon_{r\phi}\over\partial r\partial \phi}- {3\over r}{\partial\epsilon_{\phi}\over\partial r}+ {1\over r^2}{\partial^2\epsilon_{\phi}\over\partial \phi^2}=0.NEWLINE\]NEWLINE Here \((r,\phi)\) is a polar coordinate system with pole at the end of split; \(\sigma_{r}, \sigma_{\phi},\sigma_{r\phi}\), \(\epsilon_{r}, \epsilon_{\phi},\epsilon_{r\phi}\) are the components of stress and deformation tensors respectively. The deformation theory of elasticity is used. The solutions in elastic and plastic domains in the form of asymptotic expansion in the neighborhood of the plate end are obtained. The critical load is determined.
