Reduction of recurrences for hypergeometric functions (Q2745686)

In an earlier paper [J. Indian Acad. Math. 17, No. 1, 66-73 (1995; Zbl 0834.33010)], a set of recurrences for hypergeometric functions of several variables was obtained by the author in connection with a system of difference-partial differential equations. The constant coefficient contiguous function relations were obtained, along with a set of relations which were neither constant coefficient nor contiguous. Conditions are developed here for classes of hypergeometric functions, especially of triple hypergeometric functions, for which these relations reduce to simpler forms, or even to contiguous function relations which do not have constant coefficients.
