Optimal rendezvous with constraints on circular and elliptical orbits (English)
0 references
The author studies the optimum rendezvous of two space vehicles moving on a circular and elliptical orbits with the minimum fuel consumption. The problem of optimizing the control is transformed to a two-point boundary value problem, and by means of Legendre-Clebsch condition is proved to provide the minimum. The results are compared with results obtained by numerical methods.
