This paper is concerned with a system of equations in 1-D arising in the context of mean field models of superconducting vortices. Mainly in the style of the classical Kuznetsov approximation theory for conservation laws, the author develops error estimates for a semi-implicit finite difference method. The theoretical results are confirmed by some numerical tests.
