The author obtains several results concerning a semiprime algebra \(A\), first in a purely algebraic setting and later in a Banach algebra setting. Sample results: For any \(x\) in \(A\) we have \(\dim xA<\infty\) iff \(\dim AX<\infty\) (Theorem 2.2.). The direct sum of the unital minimal two-sided ideals of \(A\) has zero (left and right) annihilator iff \(A\) is strongly semisimple (Theorem 3.5.). If \(A\) is a Banach algebra, then its minimal one-sided ideal is infinite-dimensional iff it is contained in the strong radical of \(A\) (Corollary 4.4.).
