For study of stability, an analogue of the direct Lyapunov method for distributed systems is used. For the selected measures of deviation of the sought solution from the perturbed one, some functional playing the same role as Lyapunov functions play for systems with concentrated parameters, is suggested. On the basis to this functional, sufficient conditions for the stability of motion are derived. These conditions have form of an integral inequality.
