The author studies operators in a generalized metric space \(X\) where the metric is a mapping of \(X\times X\) into \([\mathbb{R}_+ \cup \{+\infty \}]^m\). Fixed point theorems generalizing the contraction principle, Perov theorem, Luxemburg-Yang theorem etc. are established.
