The flow of conducting liquid generated by a rotating magnetic field (English)

The flow of a liquid metal generated by rotating magnetic field in a cylindrical vessel of finite length is investigated. A semiempirical ``external friction'' model is used for description of this flow. It is shown that theoretical results are in satisfactory agreement with experimental data for various regimes of flow.
