Method of Laguerre polynomials in dynamical problem for elastic cylinder under local axisymmetrical loading (English)

An axisymmetric problem of dynamical loading of infinite elastic cylinder under prescribed normal and zero tangential stresses at its surface is formulated in term of the wave potentials. The problem is solved using the Laguerre transform with respect to time and the Fourier transform with respect to the axial coordinate. General solution of the problem is represented in the form of series containing the Laguerre polynomials.
