On the fixed field of a generic automorphism (English)
0 references
The author defines the notion of an almost generic automorphism and studies the fixed subfields of such automorphisms.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEIn particular, the author proves that 1) each theory of fields has a model with almost generic automorphism; 2) the fixed subfield of such an automorphism, in the case of a separably closed field, is regularly closed and its Galois group is isomorphic to \(\widehat{\mathbb Z}\).
