This is the first part of a series of books (planned to have three parts) on certain special topics of mathematics, having in mind the students or teachers of technical universities. The following chapters are included: Fourier series, Fourier integral; Complex analysis; Laplace transform; Partial-differential equations of the second order. Each part contains the standard material necessary for further study or applications. The basic definitions, examples, properties and proofs are well presented, along with many examples and exercises.
