Consider the delay-differential system \[ {dR\over dt}= f(T)-b_1R,\;{dL\over dt}= g_1R- b_2L,\;{dT\over dt}= g_2L(t-\tau)-b_3T,\tag{\(*\)} \] where \(b_1\), \(b_2\), \(b_3\), \(g_1\), \(g_2\) are positive constants and \(f\) is a smooth positive monotonously decreasing function. The author derives conditions for the global existence of periodic solutions of \((*)\) by using a global Hopf bifurcation theorem and Bendixson's criterion for higher-dimensional systems.
