The authors discuss two different examples of chaotic dynamics in classical cosmology, the well-known oscillatory approach to the singularity in the relativistic cosmology (or the Mixmaster Universe) and the dynamics of closed isotropic cosmological models with a scalar field. The review of the oscillatory approach to the singularity emphasizes the statistical properties of BKL solutions. They discuss the classification of trajectories for closed isotropic models with a scalar field and the possible fractal nature of a set of infinitely bounced trajectories. They investigate the chaotic dynamics in different Friedmann-Robertson-Walker cosmological models with a scalar (inflaton) field and calculate the topological entropy for some particular cases.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0976.00049].
