The authors study the robust fault-tolerant \(H_\infty\) control problem of uncertain linear systems NEWLINE\[NEWLINE \dot x(t)=[A+\Delta A(\sigma(t))]x(t)+ [B+\Delta B(\sigma(t))]u(t)+D\overline\omega(t),\quad y(t)=Cx(t), NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(x(t)\in\mathbb R^n\) is the state vector, \(u(t)\in\mathbb R^m\) is the control vector, \(\overline\omega(t)\in\mathbb R^p\) is the finite energy disturbance, \(y(t)\in\mathbb R^r\) is the output vector, \(\sigma(t)\in\mathbb R^q\) is the uncertainty parameter, \(\Delta A(\cdot)\), \(\Delta B(\cdot)\) are continuous function matrices. A design method for a robust fault-tolerant controller possessing integrity against sensor failures, having robustness to uncertainty parameter and satisfying a disturbance attenuation index is proposed. The situation of actuator failure is discussed.
