The authors consider \(\psi\)DO with symbols satisfying the following assumptions:NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINE(i) \(\sigma\geq 0\),NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINE(ii) there are positive constants \(C\) and \(\gamma\) such that NEWLINE\[NEWLINE\sigma(z+ w)\leq C(1+|z|)^\gamma \sigma(w),NEWLINE\]NEWLINE (iii) there is a constant \(0\leq\tau< 1\) such that for all \(\alpha\in \mathbb{N}^{2n}\), \(\alpha\neq 0\): NEWLINE\[NEWLINE|\partial^\alpha \sigma(z)|\leq C_\alpha \sigma(z)^\tau,\quad z\in \mathbb{R}^{2n},\quad C_\alpha> 0.NEWLINE\]NEWLINE By means of Gabor frames they give an approximate diagonalization of this class of \(\psi\)DO. As an application, they derive estimates for the values and distributions of eigenvalues of these operators.
