Automorphisms of some structural infinite matrix rings. (English)
      0 references
A structural matrix ring is a subring of a full matrix ring by virtue of the positions in which non-zero entries may occur. The classical example is an upper triangular matrix ring. Such matrix rings have been studied extensively. Here the authors extend this notion to column-finite infinite matrices. Their objective is to describe the automorphisms of such rings. For a structural infinite matrix ring over a field, a complete description of the automorphisms is given.
