Dirichlet-Neumann problem for systems of hyperbolic equations with constant coefficients (Q2808404)

The authors investigate a boundary value problem with the Dirichlet-Neumann conditions with respect to time variable for the system of higher order hyperbolic equations with constant coefficients. The problem is considered in the domain being a Cartesian product of an interval and a unite circle. Conditions for problem unique solvability in Sobolev spaces are established and the problem solution is constructed in the form of a vector series with respect to the system of orthogonal functions. For the lower estimates of small denominators occurring while solving the problem a metric approach is used.
