Longitudinal flexural vibrations of a three-layer rod. A refined model (English)
0 references
The author proposes a solution of the problem on coupled vibrations of adhesively bonded lap joint of two rods. The bond layer is modeled by a multi-parameter elastic foundation, and the outer layers are considered to be Timoshenko beams. This approach describes with high accuracy the stress state of the bond layer and allows boundary conditions at its free ends to be satisfied. The model problem is solved and the calculations are compared with those made by the classical method.
