The article is concerned with ocean dynamics based on a layer model of Navier-Stokes type. This system of equations is discretized in time by the implicit Euler method, and the main goal is to prove that time-discrete attractors generated by the numerical scheme exist and converge to the global attractor of the continuous problem when the time-step-size tends to zero.
