In this work, the existence of a solution is proved for a quasilinear problem with a quadratic growth term in the gradient, a non-coercive small zeroth order term and a small source term, belonging to \(L^{N/2}\), \(N\geq 3\) being the spatial dimension of the bounded domain. The problem is shown to be equivalent to one with a ``good sign property'' for the quadratic term in the gradient and this equivalent problem is solved by obtaining a solution to an approximate problem (truncated at height \(k\)) through Schauder's fixed point theorem. The solution of the equivalent problem is finally obtained by passing to the limit as \(k\to +\infty\).
