The authors construct families of finite-dimensional integrable systems (labelled by a deformation parameter \(\varepsilon\)), which interpolate between the \(N\)-dimensional harmonic oscillators (\(\varepsilon=1\)) and Neumann systems (\(\varepsilon=0\)). The phase space of the models is a certain \(2(n-2)\)-dimensional symplectic leaf in the dual of the Lie algebra of \(n\times n\) skew-symmetric matrices \(\mathfrak{so}(n)\) (equipped with the `constant coefficient' Poisson bracket) and a deformation \(\mathfrak{so}_\varepsilon(n)\) thereof. A complete family of Hamiltonians is selected from the Casimir functions and a specific set of quadratic integrals. These functions are proved to be in involution and (their differentials are proven to be) independent by explicit computation. Helpful examples of small-\(n\) cases are included throughout the text. The exposition is clear and precise.
