In this paper, the authors study Fourier coefficients of twisted theta functions at different cusp points by means of the adelic theory, and especially, they prove a conjecture given by Goldfeld and Gunnels about the absolute values of these coefficients. After recalling the fundamental notions from discrete group theory and authomorphic forms, they review the theory of metaplectic groups, Weil representations and adelic theory of theta functions. This nicely written paper will mainly contribute to representation theory and the theory of theta functions.
