The work under review presents some reflections of the author with respect to divergent series through the history of mathematics. She motivates the use of formal power series in the past and describes how the Borel method is used in the present for the resummation of divergent series.NEWLINENEWLINEThe author also describes the reason for the appearance of ramification and parametric resurgence phenomenon in the study of differential problems, and provides a geometric point of view of this phenomenon in terms of the situation of equilibrium points.
