First, the authors completely classify the finite-dimensional irreducible complex representations of the supergroup \(S^{1\mid 1}\), and they give a reducibility result for representations not containing the trivial character. Next, they classify the complex irreducible representations of \(SU(1\mid1)\) (which may also be seen as the supercircle with two odd dimensions \(S^{1\mid 2}\)) not containing the trivial character of \(S^{1}\). The main result of the paper is a super Peter-Weyl theorem for \(S^{1\mid 2}\): The complex linear span of the matrix coefficients of the \(S^{1\mid 1}\) representations \(\{(\pi_{m}^{+})\}_{m \in \mathbb Z}\) and of the adjoint representation is dense in \( \mathcal O (SU(1\mid 1))\otimes \mathbb C\). Several definitions necessary for the understanding of the paper and explicit computations of the matrix elements are also presented.
