On commutative weakly SCI-rings (English)

Let \(R\) be a commutative ring with identity. An \(R\)-module \(M\) is called weakly co-Hopfian if any injective endomorphism of \(M\) is an essential. The ring \(R\) is called weakly SCI-ring if any weakly co-Hopfian \(R\)-module is finitely generated. In the paper under review the authors show that \(R\) is SCI-ring if and only if it is an Artinian principal ideal ring.
