On the spectrum of one-dimensional vibrations in an elastic and Kelvin-Voigt viscoelastic layered medium (Q2840258)

The authors study two averaged models of transverse and longitudinal vibrations in microinhomogeneous composite materials. This kind of material presents interleaved layers of two isotropic materials, an elastic one and viscoelastic one. The spectrum investigation of each averaged model reduces to finding the roots of cubic equations.
