Module amenability is a sort of amenability that applies for some Banach modules over another Banach algebra with compatible module actions. Under module amenability, the Johnson theorem is true for the semigroup algebra \(\ell^{1}(S)\) with idempotent set \(E\). The paper is devoted to define the module operator amenability of Banach algebras. The Fourier algebra \(A(S)\) of an inverse semigroup \(S\) with idempotent set \(E\) which is a module over \(\ell^{1}(E)\) is defined. As a main result of the paper the authors show that if \(E\) has a minimum element, then the module operator amenability of \(A(S)\) is equivalent with the amenability of \(S\).
