The authors give sufficient conditions for the existence of a Quillen model structure on small categories enriched in a given monoidal model category. Trivial fibrations in this model structure are local trivial fibrations which are surjective on objects, fibrant objects are locally fibrant ones and weak equivalences are Dwyer-Kan equivalences. This yields a unified treatment for the known cases and complements the result of Lurie giving another sufficient condition.
