The authors examine well-posedness of finite energy solutions corresponding to a nonlinear flow-structure interaction. It is modeled by a perturbed wave equation coupled with nonlinear plate equation; nonlinear boundary conditions describe damping on a nonlinear flexible plate. The boundary operators are unbounded. Rotational inertia (parametrized by \(\gamma\)) is taken into account. The authors show that semigroup well posedness is preserved for any inertia and even more that semigroups converge to the no-inertia case as \(\gamma\to 0\).
