On a class of singular projectively flat Finsler metrics with constant flag curvature (English)
0 references
The purpose of this paper is to classify a class of singular \((\alpha, \beta )\)-metrics which are locally projectively flat with constant flag curvature in dimension \(n=2\), respectively \(n\geq 3\). Also, some Kropina metrics are analyzed which are projectively flat with constant flag curvature. The paper contains 8 sections. In the first section, the author presents some well-known results concerning the \((\alpha, \beta )\)-Finsler metrics and also as a particular case some results about the Randers metric which is an \((\alpha, \beta )\)-Finsler metric. Also, this first part of the paper contains 2 theorems. In the first theorem some equivalent conditions for an \((\alpha, \beta )\)-metric to be projectively flat with constant flag curvature \(K\) are presented. The second theorem is one of the main results of this paper and contains results concerning \(m\)-Kropina metrics. In the second section Theorem 2.1 is presented, which contains conditions for an \((\alpha, \beta )\)-Finsler metric to be projectively flat. In the next 5 sections of the paper some particular classes of Finsler \((\alpha, \beta )\)-metrics are analyzed using Theorem 2.1. Finally, the last section of the paper contains the proof of Theorem 2.1.NEWLINENEWLINENEWLINEThe references contain 22 well choosen titles. In conclusion, the paper contains remarkable results concerning the study of the \((\alpha, \beta )\)-metrics and \(m\)-Kropina metrics in Finsler geometry.
