Bernard Bolzano and probability calculus. (English)

The author considers the mathematical part of a Bolzano's book on the religious science (edited anonymously in 1834) as a polemical answer to some assertions of the book \textit{Theologiae christianae principia mathematica} written by J. Craig in 1699. (From Craig's calculations it seemingly follows that the belief in the Bible will fall to zero in the year 3150, and, therefore, the year is an utmost one for the judgement day.) The text is supplemented with Bolzano's quotations and examples.NEWLINENEWLINE Hájek's system of axioms for a binary operation is here connected with Bolzano's statement about the probability of a conclusion made on the basis of some more or less probable assumptions.NEWLINENEWLINEFor the entire collection see [Zbl 0989.00025].
