Model reduction of descriptor systems by interpolatory projection methods (Q2870653)

The authors consider an interpolatory projection framework for model reduction of descriptor systems. Based on modified interpolatory subspace conditions on deflating subspaces, the authors extend the previous \(\mathcal{H}_2\) model reduction method to descriptor systems. Moreover, for the index-1 and index-2 descriptor systems, the authors show how to use interpolatory model reduction without computing the deflating subspaces.
