The author defines the shear anisotropic inhomogeneous Besov distribution spaces \({\mathbf B}_{p}^{\alpha, q}(AB)\) and the shear anisotropic inhomogeneous Besov sequence spaces \({\mathbf b}_{p}^{\alpha, q}(AB)\), where \(\alpha \in {\mathbb R}\), \(0 < p,q \leq \infty\), and where \(AB\) is a reminder to the underlying Parseval shearlet frame with dilation matrices \(A^{j}\) and shear matrices \(B_{i}^{[l]}\). The corresponding analysis and synthesis operators are characterized. The author shows embedding results between shear anisotropic inhomogeneous spaces and embeddings between classical (isotropic) inhomogeneous Besov spaces and \({\mathbf B}_{p}^{\alpha, q}(AB)\) for certain smoothness parameters. There exist sequences of nonvanishing functions in shear anisotropic spaces that vanish in the norm of the classical Besov space and vice versa depending on some parameters. Finally, proofs for a sampling theorem and the Plancherel-Pólya inequality in the setting of shear anisotropic dilations are given.
