Twisted homological stability for extensions and automorphism groups of free nilpotent groups (Q2877709)

The author considers homological stability for sequences of groups that come with a filtration. If one knows homological stability for filter quotients, then the task becomes to compare Hochschild-Serre spectral sequences. For example, fix \(c\geq1\), and let \(N^c_r\) denote the quotient of the free group on \(r\) generators by the \(c\)-th member of its lower central series. Then it is shown that the sequence \(\{\mathrm{Aut}(N^c_r)\}_{r\geq1}\) satisfies twisted homological stability with polynomial coefficients in the sense of \textit{W. G. Dwyer} [Ann. Math. (2) 111, 239--251 (1980; Zbl 0404.18012)].
