Several applications of Cartwright-Field's inequality (English)
0 references
One of the refinements of the weighted arithmetic mean-geometric mean inequality, is an inequality due to \textit{D. I. Cartwright} and \textit{M. F. Field} [Proc. Am. Math. Soc. 71, 36--38 (1978; Zbl 0392.26010)]. By using particularizations and substitutions to this inequality, the authors deduce refinements of Young's, Bernoulli's or Hölder's inequality. Two applications are pointed out, too.
