The book represents an elementary introduction to special relativity with emphasizing the key problems and experiments which led to its formulation at the beginning of the XX-th century. A special attention is drawn to trigonometrical formulas which have a useful application to Special Relativity. The majority of experiments and effects of special relativity are discussed and illustrated in detail. At the finish of the book the main aspects of electromagnetism and the Maxwell equations are explained. A very light and popular introduction to general relativity, black Holes and hyperbolic geometry is given. The author is paying a special attention to geometric aspects of special relativity and general relativity. The book is written in an elementary language. It is easy for reading for every reader, except for some of the chapters which assume knowledge of differentials and differential equations. I am recommending this book for translation into east European languages.
