The authors continue earlier studies on the optimization of chemical engineering processes. Two-step problems with rigid constraints and soft constraints are investigated. After essential simplifications (linearization of functions, assuming rectangular domains, etc.), the authors propose further studies on the impact of various assumptions on the final solution.
