As far as nanosized structures do not obey translational symmetry relations, the author develops an orbital approach. The orbits are grouped into polyhedral shells. For basic symmetry groups, there are five orbital coordination numbers, the linear combination of which presents the composition of any shell. Two equations are deduced, which apply two parameters and three natural digits. These equations describe the composition and size of shells of any nanostructure.
