For open discrete mappings \(f:D\setminus\{b\}\rightarrow {\mathbb R}^3\) of a domain \(D\subset{\mathbb R}^3\) satisfying some general geometrical conditions in \(D\) and having an essential singularity \(b\in {\mathbb R}^3,\) the author proves the following statement. Let \(y_0\in \overline{{\mathbb R}^3}\setminus f\left(D\setminus\{b\}\right)\) and assume that the inner dilatation \(K_I(x,f)\) and the outher dilatation \(K_O(x,f)\) of \(f\) at a point \(x\) satisfy certain conditions. Denote by \(B_f\) the branch set of \(f\). Then for every neighborhood \(V\) of the point \(y_0,\) a set \(V\cap f(B_f)\) is not contained in \(A,\) where \(A=g(I)\) and \(I\) is a one-dimensional interval \(I\subset U\) in a domain \(U\subset {\mathbb R}^n\) and \(g:U\rightarrow {\mathbb R}^n\) is some quasiconformal mapping.
