The authors show that for a symmetric bilinear form \(f\) on a Euclidean space \(E^n\), \(f:E^n\times E^n \rightarrow \mathbb{R}\), the integral norm and the Euclidean norm of \(f\) satisfy the following inequality NEWLINE\[NEWLINE{1 \over {vol S^{n-1}}} \int_{S^{n-1}} f^2(\Theta,\Theta)d\Theta \leq {1 \over n} |f|_{Euc}^2,NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where the equality holds if and only if the eigenvalues of \(f\) are all the same.NEWLINENEWLINEThis inequality is proved by a calculation in spherical coordinates.
