Following \textit{H. Y. Zhou}, \textit{Y. J. Cho} and \textit{S. M. Kang} [Fixed Point Theory Appl. 2007, Article ID 64874, 10 p. (2007; Zbl 1155.47318)], the authors obtain an approximating common fixed point theorem for two asymptotically quasi-nonexpansive type nonself-mappings with respect to another mapping.
