The authors show that all positive solutions of the system NEWLINE\[NEWLINEx_{n+1}= \max\{A_n/y_n, x_{n-1}\},\quad y_{n+1}= \max\{B_n/x_n, y_{n-1}\}NEWLINE\]NEWLINE with positive, 2-periodic coefficients are eventually 2-periodic.
