On fixed points in non-Archimedean Menger PM-spaces (English)

The main result is a common fixed point theorem in a complete non-Archimedean PM-space for a new type of weakly commuting maps satisfying a contraction type condition. Indeed, the result is an extension of a well known common fixed point theorem for a pair of commuting maps in a metric space due to \textit{G. Jungck} [Am. Math. Mon. 83, 261--263 (1976; Zbl 0321.54025)].
