Quantum Weyl polynomials and the center of the quantum group \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_3)\) (Q2909082)

In this paper the authors give a very explicit description of the center of the quantized enveloping algebra \(U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_3)\). They propose three generators for the center given in terms of quantum elementary Weyl symmetric polynomials and show that they satisfy one polynomial relation. Further, the authors show that this gives a presentation for the center.
