The starting point of this paper is the article [\textit{K. Böröczky} et al., Can. J. Math. 60, No. 1, 3--32 (2008; Zbl 1141.52004)]. There it is shown that if all extreme points of a convex body \(K\subset\mathbb{R}^n\) have Euclidean norm larger than \(r> 0\), then NEWLINE\[NEWLINE{1\over|K|} \int_K |x|^2_2 dx\geq {r^2\over 9n},NEWLINE\]NEWLINE where \(|x|_2\) stands for the Euclidean norm of \(x\), and \(|K|\) for the volume of \(K\). The authors improve this by confirming the optimal constant \({r^2\over n+2}\), with equality for the regular simplex with circumsphere of radius \(r> 0\).
